The Warrior Group Revealed

The third episode ended with a major cliffhanger and revealed the initial group of characters who will split off from the central cast to begin their independent quest, separate from the remaining groups.

This warrior group features Teor Pridesire (portrayed by Travis Willingham), Thimble (the talented performer), the strong-willed figure (the cast member), Wicander Halovar (Sam Riegel), and the mysterious adventurer (the actor).

The Reason for Division

This explains, the first four episodes of this story serve as an Overture, intertwining the personal journeys before splitting into three distinct groups: Warriors, Schemers, and Seekers.

The Nature of the Soldiers Table

As described by the DM, the Soldiers table is for players who prefer a classically intense battle-oriented narrative style where non-violent answers are rare.

At first glance, characters like the squeamish cleric the cleric might seem mismatched, but the events of episode 3 make it clear why these five characters are perfectly fit for the combat party.

Why They Must Go

To begin with, the party knows exactly where to go next after a brutal first encounter with the enemy group.

Casimir of the deceased character—whose passing initiated the story’s plot—used The Crow Keepers for his selfish purposes, breaking into Thjazi’s hideout, striking Thimble, and taking all the enchanted items to auction.

Casimir then settled his debts and ran away to a Halovar stronghouse in Gormalay, Timmony, beyond Dol-Makjar, with Cyd close behind.

Additionally, each character has a specific drive to leave the city the urban setting:

  • The rogue, as the companion and closest confidant, seeks vengeance.
  • The adventurer has experience in the northern area and warns that it is a nasty environment.
  • The warrior and The healer, having disobeyed his house’s orders to eliminate the fighter and instead saved him, have no safe haven.
  • But, their position as key figures in the powerful family could enable the group reach locations they normally couldn’t.
  • Additionally, Teor pledged a life debt to The savior for his deliverance and will now accompany him anywhere.

Fugitives

Lastly, all of them are hunted by the authorities that rule Dol-Makjar for a multiple motives, making lingering locally no longer safe:

  • The rogue and Kattigan are notorious outlaws.
